It is a website where you can find job opportunities and do research on the companies that you are interested in. Alternatively, employers can also list jobs to find potential candidates.
LinkedIn can also be used to stay in touch with your colleagues and friends. And you can easily connect with them using the email account you have given if they are already in your contacts.You can even post questions for the LinkedIn community!
Users can also use it to read up on tips from the world's top INfluencers on business related matters as well on news in the business world.
LinkedIn however, isn't all good.
Downsides of LinkedIn :
- Difficult to use for someone who isn't good at networking
- Takes time and effort to create and maintain a profile
- Many users use it as a place for advertising which could lead to spam
All in all, LinkedIn is a place where you can keep a lookout for jobs and be updated on the business world however it requires commitment and effort to learn and to create create a decent profile.
